Made in Japan in 1981, this OD9 is the maxon branded version of the Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer. This one has the rare JRC2043DD chip.
The Tube Screamer from Ibanez (originally built by Maxon) ranks as one of the most influential pedals ever made and set the bar for generations of overdrives to come. The TS9 of the early-to-mid '80s was the second Tube Screamer model after the TS808 and has been used guitarists from the gamut of styles including Trey Anastasio of Phish and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
